Epinova is responsible for PostNord's entire Nordic web platform
Epinova's assignment began in the fall of 2020. PostNord needed help with a major launch on Optimizely DXP. Two years later, we are responsible for PostNord's entire Nordic web platform and a new e-commerce based on Optimizely Commerce Cloud is launched.

Expert support for a major launch
PostNord.se is one of Sweden's most visited websites with an average of over 100,000 visitors per day. It must be put in context with the fact that PostNord is the primary mail provider and a community service in both Sweden and Denmark. In Norway, Finland and Germany, PostNord is an important player in logistics.
In the fall of 2020, Epinova was asked to help as expert support at a major launch for Optimizely DXP Cloud. With such an important website with so many visitors and with a total of seven different websites in the solution, nothing can go wrong and Epinova assisted in the work to ensure that everything was well prepared so that the launch went as planned.
From outdated to new e-commerce on Optimizely Commerce Cloud
PostNord had an outdated proprietary e-commerce system, a monolith, which was to be shut down. Epinova was commissioned to do a feasibility study and then develop a new e-commerce based on Optimizely Commerce Cloud. It was a natural choice as PostNord already had Optimizely CMS as a platform and they wanted a stable and future-proof platform. The project involved a large amount of systems, and collaboration with groups of internal stakeholders and a range of external suppliers.
The goal was a new B2B solution for partners and agents (dealers) to be able to order services and products in a smooth way, but also a B2C solution where private customers can order stamps and have them delivered to their home.

From improved design to handling DDoS attacks
After the launch, Epinova's team continued to help PostNord with further development, implemented improved design for the development of microservices and web components so that external services are experienced as an integrated part for the user with a common menu and footer, for the development of a "service selector", a kind of wizzard so that customers can find the right products on the website.
PostNord's websites have made a communicative journey both in terms of content, UX and technology, and Epinova's team has functioned as an integral part of PostNord's web team and assisted with everything from Tech-lead, architecture issues, design support, user improvements, personalized content with landing pages for customer groups, integrations to price systems etc.
An important part of the work has been security and performance, and with Optimizely's help, the websites have resisted several DDoS attacks, which also had the positive effect of increased availability for customers, i.e. the time when the sites are down and the pressure on customer service reduced.
