With web accessibility, we create an inclusive digital environment that benefits everyone. Follow along for a quick guide and get 5 things to keep an eye on.

1. Web Accessibility
With web accessibility, we create an inclusive digital environment that benefits everyone. The Internet and digital services are a large part of our lives and should be accessible to everyone, regardless of ability. In 11 months, on June 28, 2025, the new law European Accessibility Act (EAA) will come into effect. This means a legal requirement for accessibility for digital products and services.
2. The purpose of accessibility
The purpose of accessibility is to make experiences as easy to use as possible for everyone, even those with certain difficulties or disabilities.
With the European Accessibility Act behind it, it is ensured that services such as e-commerce, ATMs, check-in counters, smartphones and other digital products and services meet minimum accessibility requirements.
3. The difference between WCAG and EAA?
WCAG + EAA = ACCESSIBILITY.
WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) are guidelines for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities – everything from vision and hearing to cognitive impairments. WCAG 2.2 has three accessibility levels: A, AA and AAA that the web should achieve (Normally level is AA).
