Joy is a Team Manager and Project Manager with an eye on the situation

Joy is a master at multitasking, the fact that she has time is an achievement - yet she always has time for a kind word and to help others - especially our customers!

Joy Falk

Tell us a little about your background?

I got hooked on this industry right away, so I've been working at a "web agency" since 2006 when it was popular to build my own CMS in ASP and with Episerver/Optimizely since 2009. I love the mix between technology, design, marketing, sales, and everything else that goes into a web solution. The fact that development is progressing so quickly is also fun, because there is always something new to learn and develop in.

What is your role here at Epinova?

In our deliveries, my role is project manager, but I sometimes have roles in strategy and analysis. In addition, I am the team manager for one of our teams and part of the management team. I wear a lot of hats, and I like that.

What is the difference between us and other consulting agencies?

We want to deliver value in everything we do. We have our template package and framework that allows us to deliver solutions very cost-effectively and quickly to our customers. It's amazing how many hours and how much expertise goes into the framework. To my knowledge, there is no other agency that has such a comprehensive and high-quality framework as Epinova.

In addition to the technical aspects, we want to give customers that little extra. We advise, are proactive and support the customer so that they get more than just a web delivery. We want them to succeed!

Like SEO, why is it important?

I don't work operationally with SEO and content, but I usually bring the SEO and marketing perspective through projects and make sure that these parts are in sync with the concept we develop and the content that is created. It is important that the SEO work is not forgotten during the project. When it comes to writing for the search engines, I warmly hand over to our sister agency Pineberry and their experts.

What are your best qualities as a project manager?

I'm in control. I am good at seeing a project in both the big and the small perspective, i.e. managing what happens on a daily basis, but also looking ahead and seeing risks and opportunities. I also think it's really important to have team building and that the customer's team and Epinova's team become one. That's how we get consensus and can work towards the same goal.

What makes you proud when you walk into the office?

That's a lot of things. The best thing is to see when colleagues sit together and help each other, bounce ideas off each other and share. It makes me happy that our culture really shows in these situations. Sometimes customers sit with us too, and that's fun. We share an office with our sister companies, so it's like having an extra circle of colleagues. In addition to the fact that the social aspect is nice, we all learn a lot from each other. This means that you think outside your own box and can broaden the perspective towards the customer and for the employees. The office is also very nice visually and that gives you pride.
