Camilla Karlsson

Tell us a little about your background

I have long and broad experience from the digital agency industry and have worked at both large global companies and smaller agencies, but always on the consulting side. Being in the smaller, entrepreneur-driven context suits me. I like the challenges that the consultant role entails, and that you need to stay on your toes and updated! This industry is moving forward extremely fast. It is also incredibly stimulating to work in assignments of various kinds, spanning all sorts of different industries and businesses. What has been the most constant during my entire professional life is probably the work with the Episerver/Optimizely platform.

What is your role here at Epinova?

After all, we build companies and thus the roles are many! In delivery, I usually have the project manager's hat, but to sometimes take on the role of digital strategist and get to work even closer to the business with our customers, I see as a privileged complement. I lead one of our teams at Epinova, work in the management team and am Epinova's Chief Delivery Officer.

The Chief Delivery Officer you say, what does that mean?

This means that I continuously work with the further development of our working methods, coach and provide operational support to the teams in our agile working methods and processes. Throughout my professional career, I have had a strong focus on quality, project methodology and leadership. I have built up several quality management systems and it is probably no understatement to say that I like checklists, templates and processes.

How would you describe the culture here at the company?

I like to share experiences and solutions, and constantly challenge myself with in-depth studies in new exciting areas. And it's really in the DNA here at Epinova. We strive to always be at the forefront and in order to achieve this, we need to continuously share knowledge with each other. The threshold for sharing is low, and that's exactly how it should be!

You often work in the early phases of our customer assignments with strategy and insight work - tell us!

Absolute. I come from project management, where my comfort zone is probably my "comfort zone", but I have always been involved quite deeply in the entire chain from strategy and design to technology and platform. I like to grasp "everything". And I think it's a strength to have a good understanding of all the roles that work in our cross-functional teams.

What makes you proud?

What really makes me proud is to see how our teams continuously develop and are involved in driving the work we do. To be able to be a part of that journey, to see our employees grow and flourish in their roles and contribute to creating success for our customers, it's really something that gives me a sense of pride. Being involved in shaping the company's culture and values, where we encourage learning, is also one of the aspects I am most proud of.
