At the Optimizely Experimentation Roadshow Elite Hotels showcased how they meet diverse guest needs, from pet-friendly stays to local spa visits, by using Optimizely's tools for segmentation and web experimentation.

We had the honor of seeing our client Elite Hotels on stage at Optimizely Experimentation Roadshow Thursday 22 May 2025. Daniel Gineman, Head of Digital explained how their guests vary very much in interests and requirements. Today it is not only about finding a great place to sleep for the night but instead you might want to bring your dog, play golf, park your car, or not even stay the night. You might want to visit the restaurant or spa facilities even as a local.

Accommodating all these target groups can make your website very confusing and filled with information that not everyone is interested in reading. Because of this segmentation is of extra importance – trying to make the web experience just as delightful and personalized as the in person greeting you get when visiting a physical hotel.

Elite Hotels uses Optimizely Data Platform (ODP) and Optimizely Web Experimentation to support their CMS. With these tools you can easily adapt the content depending on the target group based on preference, demographics and more. You can also create your own popups to interact with your visitors to remind them to fill in a form which they started but did not complete or show them where the login feature is.
