FOREX, which has its roots in forex trading since 1965, has over the years constantly adapted to the needs of its clients and the changes in the market. When FOREX now set a clear ambition to not only consolidate its position as a leading player in travel currency but also broaden its offering with more services and products linked to travel, a robust new digital platform was an important piece of the puzzle along the way.
After discontinuing its banking services, FOREX has once again focused on currency exchange, but now with a clear ambition to offer more for its traveling customers. By introducing products such as travel insurance, credit cards, and experiences, FOREX aims to be a reliable partner throughout the journey. This investment means a completely new strategic direction for FOREX, which helps to create a holistic experience for travelers!
Our mission: A digital future for the entire Nordic Region
As part of realizing this vision, Epinova helped FOREX modernize its digital presence. In collaboration with FOREX, we have created new websites for the Nordic markets – Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. A cohesive platform for all Nordic markets that has resulted in a modern user experience and reflects FOREX's expanded product offering.
The result is a complete solution where FOREX customers can smoothly manage everything from currency exchange to travel insurance, credit cards and other travel-related products and experiences both in-store and digitally. On the FOREX website, the modern traveler can now book flights and activities, and also other travel experiences or "travel necessities", creating a holistic experience. 
Value-driven, reusable and dynamic design
Together with colleagues at Nova Consulting Group, a user-friendly and visually attractive design was developed. To reflect the brand's values and interact with FOREX's other interfaces, design principles were created to support the design work. The principles form the basis for the design work and ensure that the website is experienced in the desired way and thereby provides value for both the customer and FOREX.
The design for the website was created in parallel with a design system, where reusable components can be reused and adapted for other digital applications. For example, for the app that makes it easier when customers are traveling.
The design track that the team chose to move forward with is called Bento grid. A concept that makes it easy to build dynamic layouts of smaller components, adapted to the content to be displayed. A solution that suits FOREX well as different types of information must work together.
A solution built for the future
The solution gathers all Nordic markets under one digital umbrella and forms the basis for an updated digital presence. The platform mirrors FOREX's developed offering and strengthens their ability to reach out to customers both online and via store.
Our digital journey took a big step forward thanks to our collaboration with Epinova/NOVA when they helped us rebuild our websites, thereby improving the online customer experience. This has made it easier for our customers to shop online with us.

The solution is built on Optimizely and Epinova's framework and acts as a hub for all FOREX services, aligning with FOREX's changed business model and strategic direction. The platform provides a stable and secure foundation for FOREX's future digital presence and is designed to meet high demands for security and performance, while also offering a smooth user experience.
To streamline the migration of content, the FOREX editorial organization successfully utilized Epinova's AI Assistant. This not only sped up the process but also complemented the content with more inspiring text pieces and increased the quality of alt texts on the images on the website.
